What Is Insomnia and Why Is It So Common in Singapore?

Insomnia is a clinical condition characterised by difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking too early — causing significant daytime impairment. It is estimated to affect up to one in three adults in Singapore, driven by high-stress work cultures, screen exposure, shift work, and untreated anxiety or depression.
